F&F Europe BV sells controlling interest to Okéchamp SA
The Kerkrade based company F&F Europe BV – specialized in the manufacture of deepfreeze mushrooms – is set to sell a controlling interest to the Polish Okéchamp SA on 3 November. Current shareholder Mr. J.J.M. Theeuwen (65) will remain associated with F&F Europe BV through a minority interest.
In order to facilitate further growth on the global market, F&F Europe BV has sought a reliable partner for collaboration. The merging with Okéchamp SA will result in a new company that belongs in the top of the European mushroom sector. This scaling-up fits perfectly within the strategies of both F&F Europe BV and Okéchamp SA. The joint enterprise will market over 50,000 tonnes of mushrooms and will generate a turnover of more than €75 million. As Poland – like the Netherlands – is one of the largest mushroom manufacturing countries of Europe, partnership with this Polish market leader is an obvious choice.
No negative consequences
F&F Europe BV will remain an independently operating BV (PLC) within Okéchamp SA and will continue to concentrate on the production and marketing of frozen mushrooms. The merger has no negative consequences for employees and customers. The majority of mushrooms processed by F&F will continue to come from the Netherlands.
