F&F Europe obtains the DLG award in Gold for Frio Frigo Champignons.
In August this year F&F Europe sent out some items for quality assessment by DLG. DLG (www.dlg.org) in Frankfurt/Main (Germany) is one of the most highly reputed companies in the field of assessment of food items. On a yearly basis they test approximately 20,000 products. The products are tested by field specific panels of experts on appearance, smell and taste as well as on the quality of the packaging.
Only those products which are in compliance with the strict requirements of the DLG standards will obtain an award. The DLG assessment thus stands for excellent quality. This means that only quality materials are used for the production as well as the fact that only outstanding methods are utilized for the processing of these products. It also means that the information displayed on the packaging is correct and reliable.
F&F participated in the DLG-test for Convenience Food 2008 and obtained the DLG award in Gold for product Frio Frigo Champignons Sliced Premium Selection and the DLG award in Bronze for product Frio Frigo Champignons in Cream sauce.
Frio Frigo Champignons Premium Selection are sliced mushrooms which are ready to use in the preparation of meals. The mushrooms have already been washed and sliced by F&F. The Frio Frigo Champignons Premium Selection are ideal as a side dish with meat but can also be used for soups and sauces. The product received a positive assessment by DLG on all points which resulted in obtaining the award in Gold.
Frio Frigo Champignons in Cream sauce are sliced mushrooms with a coating. This coating mixes with the water which is released by the mushrooms while cooking thus creating a thick, delicious cream sauce. Frio Frigo Champignons in Cream sauce are delicious with meat or fish dishes but the cream sauce is also quite nice with rice or pasta. The Frio Frigo Champignons in Cream sauce were awarded with the DLG award in Bronze.
